Pertamina EP signs KSO agreement with Bunyu Tapa Energi to develop Bunyu Field



JAKARTA (Rambu Energy) – PT Pertamina EP, a subsidiary of state owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina, said it has signed a joint operating agreement (KSO) with PT Bunyu Tapa Energi to develop the Bunyu Tapa concession, part of Pertamina EP’s Asset 5, which covers Sangatta, Sangasanga, Tarakan, Tanjung, Bunyu and Papua oil and gas working areas.
The agreement was signed by both parties at Pertamina EP’s headquarter office in Jakarta.
Under the agreement, PT Bunyu Tapa Energi will initially reinterpret seismic data and carry out seismic survey which will be completed in next 3 to 6 months.
“Asset 5 is an important asset of PT Pertamina EP as it produces higher than target. I hope PT Bunyu Tapa Energi can carry ou its commitment agressively as we are doing,” Pertamina EP President Director Adriansyah .
PT Bunyu Tapa Energi will focus on three wells located onshore and then later on developing offshore area.
Pertamina EP divides its working areas into 5 areas (5 assets), namely Asset 1 area covering Rantau, Pangkalan Susu, Lirik , Jambi and Ramba on Sumatera Island; Asset 2 area covering Prabumulih, Pendopo, Limau and Adera, Asset 3 area covering Tambun, Subang and Jatibarang in West Java; Asset 4 consists of one block, namely Cepu; and Asset 5 area covering Sangatta, Sangasanga, Tarakan, Tanjung, Bunyu and Papua.
The total size of the working areas reached 113,000 square kilometers with production target of 124,000 barels of oil per day. (*)
